Boliq makes two automatic rising bollards. Boliq Sentry (£2,495) rises to 600 mm and suits most driveways and private entrances. Boliq Sentry Max (£3,495) is the heavier-duty model: a 219 mm, 6 mm wall stainless steel body that rises to 600 mm, for a more robust barrier and a stronger deterrent. Both run on a built-in battery as standard, so no electrician is needed unless you choose mains power, and both are fully installed with two key fobs. The Boliq app adds control from anywhere.
Sentry and Sentry Max share the same drive, battery, safety features and controls. Sentry Max is the heavier-duty of the two. Pick the one that suits your site.

Order online with a few photos of your driveway, or send us your site details for a quote. On installation day we excavate, lay the gravel drainage bed, set the bollard's steel housing in concrete flush with your surface, fit the bollard and pair your key fobs.

Resin bound or bonded, natural stone and pattern imprinted surfaces are priced individually because they cannot be cut and reinstated to match. No. Both models run on a built-in 24 V battery, so there is no trench to dig for cables. Mains power is available if you prefer it: £35 per metre of 24 V DC cable from your 230 V AC to 24 V DC converter to the bollard. We can supply and fit the converter for £195, or you can arrange your own and we email you the specification. If you arrange your own, it must be connected and tested before your installation date; if it isn't ready, a revisit is charged at £350.
Both models manage up to about 1,000 raise and lower movements on a full charge, which is several months for a typical household. The light ring flashes when it needs charging, and a full charge takes about 10 hours. Charge it at least every six months. Each bollard comes with two batteries, so one can charge while the other is in use.
The bollard can be pushed down by hand, so you are never locked in or out, and every bollard comes with two batteries, so you can swap in the charged one.
Yes. A sensor in the top cap stops the bollard rising if anything is resting on it, so it will not lift a car, bin or anything else and damage it. If it meets resistance while rising, it stops, and it resets from the key fob once the obstruction is clear. Never stand on or lean against a moving bollard.
It is optional. Two key fobs are included and operate the bollard. The app and SIM subscription, £9.95 a month for your first bollard and £4.95 for each extra one, adds control from anywhere, schedules and alerts.
No. Bollards on the app subscription have their own built-in mobile connection, so they work wherever there is mobile signal, even at the end of a long drive.
No. Sentry and Sentry Max are access control bollards for keeping unwanted vehicles out. They have not been crash tested and are not hostile vehicle mitigation products. Sites that need a tested barrier should specify one rated to ISO 22343-1.
